Current Organizational Status
Roots Awareness Warrior is a Florida-based community initiative in formation. It is not currently incorporated as a nonprofit corporation, has not received an IRS Employer Identification Number, and has not applied for or received federal 501(c)(3) tax-exempt recognition. This page will be updated as each milestone is reached.
Leadership and Responsibilities
R.A.W. was founded by Joey Louive. As the founding individual, Joey is responsible for the organization's current direction, content, and public communications. Formal leadership roles, titles, and responsibilities will be documented when a governing board is established.
Board Development
R.A.W. is in the process of identifying individuals with relevant experience to serve on an independent governing board. No board has been formally established. Board composition, qualifications, and responsibilities will be published here when confirmed.
Legal Formation Roadmap
R.A.W.'s planned legal formation steps include: Florida nonprofit incorporation, obtaining a Federal Employer Identification Number, adopting bylaws and a conflict-of-interest policy, completing applicable Florida charitable-solicitation requirements, and applying for federal 501(c)(3) recognition. None of these steps have been completed. Progress will be documented here.
Banking and Payment Controls
R.A.W. will not activate public payment options until a dedicated organizational bank account or properly documented fiscal-sponsor arrangement is confirmed. R.A.W. funds will not be mixed with personal household funds, other business income, event proceeds, reimbursements, or future patient-assistance funds. Banking details will be documented here when confirmed.
How Expenses Will Be Approved
R.A.W. is developing written expense-approval procedures. When established, all expenses will require documented justification, written approval, and receipt retention. Reimbursements will require written requests and approvals. These procedures will be published here when adopted.
Conflict-of-Interest Policy Status
R.A.W. has not yet adopted a formal conflict-of-interest policy. Adopting such a policy is a planned step in the organization's formation. The policy will be published here when adopted.
Financial Reporting
R.A.W. is developing founding-stage financial reporting. When payment processing is activated, R.A.W. intends to publish quarterly public summaries of contributions and expenses. No financial reports are available at this time. Reports will be published here as they become available.
Partnerships and Public Claims
R.A.W. will not list an organization as a partner or sponsor unless that relationship has been verified and approved in writing. No partnerships or sponsorships are currently confirmed. This section will be updated when verified relationships are established.
