After facing brain cancer himself, Joey began recognizing how many people fight quietly: patients overwhelmed by medical decisions, families carrying emotional and financial pressure, caregivers trying to hold everything together, and survivors rebuilding their identity after treatment.
A doctor encouraged Joey to tell his story. That invitation became a seed.
Roots Awareness Warrior is Joey's effort to turn lived experience into awareness, community, dignity, and eventually responsible support for others walking through their own battles.
